Basic Goodness “ Buddhist psychology is based on the notion that human beings are fundamentally good. Their most basic qualities are positive ones: openness, intelligence, and warmth.” ~ Chogyam Trungpa Rimpoche Everyone is born with basic goodness regardless of their actions. We judge others easily based on their outer appearance and actions. For instance, if a person is seen drinking alcohol all the time we should not judge all the time. It may have become their habitual pattern rather than trying to haunt or appreciate their basic goodness. In my case, I display basic goodness in several ways. In-depth, I never noticed that talking less in the group gossip could be my one basic goodness. For instance, if I see gossiping about other people's bad character. I usually ignore them and think that they may have a reason for being in bad character. 💚Reflecting on the Journey 🌲 The feeling of an early morning walk embraces me from nature itself. As the dawn broke through the darkness it made me feel that everything is possible in our life it is just our thinking that makes it impossible. While I inhale fresh air it fills my lungs and exhales the unwanted air, stimulating my body and mind with a positive energy. With each step I took from beneath the tree I felt cool and it gave me peace of mind. The sound of my footsteps blending with the chirping of birds creates a musical tune with soothing music. As I walked, I could feel the deep connection of the earth that is under my feet, rooting me in the present moments and reminding the simple joys of life. The sun’s rays kissed my cheeks, filling me with warmth and energy as I embarked on this new chapter of my life. Unlike my past college experiences, where I often found myself enjoying less and always engrossed with the assignments, Samtse College sparked a desire within me to explore the fantastic opportunities it had to offer. As I immersed myself in the college environment, I discovered that creating and savoring moments brought me intense happiness. However, I also encountered challenges, particularly when it came to interacting with new friends. Many of them had impressive job experiences some of them were older which made them into awkward situations before knowing us as a classmate.
